Ospedale senza dolore (hospital without pain)
The suffering of the soul and the physical pain reduce the quality of life, and for this reason, the hospita lUmberto I stands in the forefront as "Ospedale senza dolore” for children and adults. In fact, it is only active within the emergency department and assumption (DEA) and currently operates within the department of anaesthesiology and reanimation with a service for pain control. In addition, by resolution no. 474 of August 1, 2007, the committee for the hospital without pain (CODS) was formally founded. The work of the CODS also includes the training of hospital staff to spread the culture of pain control and collect primarily the questions of the patients in the individual units surgery, medicine and oncology.

Within the hospital there is a bar with a small market. It is open from Monday to Friday from 6.30 to 17.00 o’clock, Saturday, 6.30 to 15.00 o’clock, closed on Sunday and public holidays. It is located in the middle of the hospital canteen.
